About AFP

Alpha Female Publishing is an independent company founded by Susan Newark to ensure content control of her own work and that of other authors she chooses to publish. Subject matter is diverse, including literature, autobiography, travel, romance, humor, and education.

Susan has an MFA in English/Creative Writing and has done post-graduate work in Gender Studies, British and American Literature, and Sociology. She is retired from teaching college English and Writing Lab and owns an online media store. Her hobbies are reading, wildlife watching, photography, hiking, and traveling.

The Susan Newark website offers print books for sale, including (coming soon) The Merry Muse Gazette, a new journal of compassion, humor, and good news. (All titles also available on Kindle eBook.

AFP is not currently accepting unsolicited manuscripts, though publication of other authors may follow in future, especially for sections of The Merry Muse Gazette. Follow the blog and the Forum for submission information. All content must be free of violence, homophobia, sexism, racism, misinformation, and cultural biases.
